Social Media has become the defacto way of communicating on the Internet. It’s also how many people consume news and entertainment. But too much useless information can have a chilling effect on our spiritual program. And reading newspapers and watching the news is a full-on engagement with the things that do not matter.
Furthermore, what’s portrayed in media is not for spiritually awakened people. The information is useless to us in our spiritual practice. Spirituality is rarely mentioned in mass media and when it is discussed, it’s usually in a derogatory way. The advent of the modern Internet brought us spiritual content in a way that had never been experienced before.
In the past, one would have to study in a monastery or go on retreats to learn about meditation or other spiritual concepts. But today, we don’t have to travel far and wide to visit an ashram. We can participate in lectures, spirit talks and satsangs within just a few keystrokes.
Transitioning one’s media and entertainment consumption into something beneficial isn’t that difficult. And sometimes we just need someone to show us what we haven’t yet discovered.
When you watch spiritual videos on YouTube, the algorithm will send you to more spiritual teachers, some of which you may not have discovered. Part of the Concrete Shamanism practice is to place as much spiritual content into our YouTube feed so we don’t get as much news or current events. The best way to purge your YouTube feed of news and fear channels is to replace ordinary and every day media consumption with content that challenges both spiritually and emotionally.
Here’s a selection of the latest videos from some of the most exciting spiritual teachers on YouTube. Each of these teachers has a distinct style and essence. We recommend checking out each video and if you like, then subscribe to their individual YouTube channels.
